Great product. Love the convenience and portability it offers.

An excellent choice for travelers on the run. Two device compact charger!

The Best Buy 2-in-1 wireless magnetic traveling charger kit is a convenient accessory to charge your iPhone and Apple Watch simultaneously with just one USB C cable. Not only does it have a USB C port to connect your Apple Watch charger, but it also has a cable management system to keep the cable hidden away. This setup is much more convenient instead of having to either charge one device at a time or having to bring along a bigger 2 port charging brick. With a fold-able design it won’t take up much room in your traveling bag. The QI-enabled wireless charger is also compatible with other devices like Android smartphones, and wireless headphones like Air Pods including other brands that charge wireless. The wireless charger is rated up to 15-watts but for iPhone it’s limited to 7.5-watts due to Apple constraints for 3rd party wireless chargers. The only thing you will need to supply is the Apple Watch charger and a charging brick that is rated for 20-watts or more. I highly recommend it for those that are constantly traveling with their iPhone and Apple Watch.

So I have an iPhone 15 pro max and I couldn’t get this 2 n 1 Wireless charger to charge my phone. I used the included usb C to usb C cable with three different charging wall bricks and I could never get this to charge. I gave up after that. If you can get it to work then great. The magnetic connection is good and strong and it holds the phone well. The Apple wall charging side still needs your apple watch charger in order for it to work. That means you still need two wall plugs and two cables. In my opinion they should have designed this as an all in one charger with one plug. Not one that needs two cables and two wall plugs to make it work. That defeats the purpose of being a travel charger in my opinion. The white soft touch of the charger is a nice feeling but it attracts hair and lint from just trying to use it for 5 minutes. This is also pretty flimsy and not well built, although it does have some cable management i feel like that was a last minute thought on the design part. Overall I wouldn’t recommend this product for your travel use. There are better options out there.

  5. ReviewGuy85

This travel charger is ok, but honestly it feels like its about 75% complete and lacking. It will do what its supposed to do, which is charge, but it could have been a great little item.

It comes in the package with the foldable charger, a preinstalled USB to USB-C converter plugged into the phone charging side underneath, and it also comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable. And this is where it starts to lose points. What it doesn’t come with, is a couple important things. It doesn’t include a watch charger, so you have to spend more money getting one of those, and it doesn’t come with a plug adapter for the end of the USB-C included cable in order to actually use this product. I do understand that as is with the USB-C cable you can plug this into your Macbook but this is supposed to be travel friendly. Alot of airports and hotels feature USB charging ports, but not USB-C ports, atleast not yet. This product should atleast include a wall adapter to be able to use this product at will while traveling and not having to worry about the limitations of the item.

The design also suffers from the lack of the watch charger. The phone charging side is fine and sturdy , but because you need to install your own watch charger and wrap the cord inside around the product so it can actually fold as its supposed to, the watch charger side of this product feels really flimsy. If they had just built in a watch charger, they could have made the watch charger side just as stable as the phone charging side and made this a home run product. The two sides clasp with a little silicone latch on the side. It should hold up but also has potential to tear.

Overall this should be better. Ask $10 more and include a built in watch charger and wall plug adapter.

I sometimes forget to bring my charging equipment when I go on the road so I end up purchasing another cord or Apple Watch charger to add to my collection. This 2-in-1 Magnetic Wireless Charger is the perfect solution for me. I keep it in my suitcase so I never forget to bring it with me. It charges my iPhone and Apple watch. It’s super-compact as the device folds out to allow charging for the phone and watch.

Please note the Apple Watch charger does not come with this device. You have to put your existing apple watch charging cord/disc into the device. My watch charging cord/disc fit perfectly in the flip-up circle and the cord wraps around the base and plugs into the other half of the device. The charging device does come with an extra USB C cable. One end plugs into the charging device and the other end plugs into either your charging cube or a USB C connection next to a hotel bed.

I found that charging time for this device was about the same that I see with any other magnetic charger for my phone and watch.

This charging device is light and can be packed in a small corner of your luggage. It’s a great solution for road trips.

  7. Linksys

The Best Buy essentials wireless charger is a convenient all in one charging solution for your iPhone, AirPods and Apple Watch. The charger comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable and a USB-A to USB-C adapter. You have to supply the wall brick and the Apple Watch cable. The folding design is both convenient and space saving. The maximum charge rate is 10 watts so it doesn’t have fast charging capabilities, but is more than sufficient for overnight charging. The device feels relatively well made and the silicone straps that hold the to pieces together feel strong. The design of the Watch charging part is accommodating enough for the Apple Watch Ultra when flipped up. I have some older products that would charge the smaller models of the Apple Watch but not the ultra due to the design. When unfolded the device is just a little longer than a Pro Max size iPhone. If you want an inexpensive charging solution when traveling, the Best Buy essentials charger is a solid option thats both portable and lightweight.

  8. teasten

If you travel, remembering cables and keeping them organized can be a pain. The Best Buy essentials 2 in 1 10W wireless charging is an attempt to solve the problem. In the box you get the folding charging unit, and a USB C cable. There’s no charging plug – so you need to supply your own. There’s also no Apple Watch charger, so you need to supply your own.

    Setup / Cable Management
In terms of setup, you need to put in your Apple Watch charger first. It took me a few attempts to find the best winding pattern for the Apple Watch charger. My advice is plug the charger into the inside USB port on the travel charger and double wind the cord (see photo). Make sure you leave about an extra inch from the internal USB A/C port so that the charger will sit flat when open.

You can use a USB A or USB Apple Watch charger. The internal charging port (see photo) comes with a removable USB A to USB C dongle. So I used an old USB A Apple Watch charger.

    Powering the Travel Charger
Everything is powered by the external USB C cable. There’s some sort of internal pass through so the single cable powers the travel charger, which then can charge your iPhone and Watch at the same time. Again, you need your own power adapter (I recommend a 20w) and its a shame that there’s no cable management for the USB C cable, so you still have a spare cable floating around in your bag and there’s not enough room to use the cable management bay for the Apple Watch charger. I feel this is a miss.

In Use: Good Magsafe / Tilt Adjustable Apple Watch
There’s some things to like. The 10W Magsafe adapter is VERY good. Great magnetic attachment to the phone and no risk you will bump your phone off the charger. The Apple Watch charger can also tilt up, so great for night stand mode on your watch which is ideal for travel. Charging speed seems good, but I am using a 20W USB C charger.

    Overall Thoughts
This travel charger is a nice concept but I think it’s a little clunky in execution. Unless you have a spare Apple Watch charger, you are going to require either purchasing another (which adds to the cost) or you will have to use this as your permanent charging solution. Not having storage for the included USB Charging cable is frustrating and the USB charging cable is shorter than it should be if you’re trying to charge this in a hotel where power outlets can be at floor level.

This is one of those rare times where I wouldn’t really recommend the product unless you want this as your permanent solution. I’m on the fence whether this should be a 2 or 3 out of 5, I’m giving it 2 as I think it needs some changes to live up to the promise of being useful. You’re probably better just having two cables and a charger in your bag when you travel.

Final note: The picture does make it look like it has an Apple Watch charger built in (it does not).

  9. apalmo

This is a perfect setup for travel as it’s compact to put in a bag. You can charge your watch and phone at the same time. The charging pad has a magnate in it to lock the phone into place. I use a generic case that does not include the apple magnate and the phone still can charge which is nice. I was also able to charge my google pixel 8 on the pad as well, you just have to put it in the correct spot. I wish it wasn’t white as I think it will get dirty looking quickly since it’s a softer plastic. This is not a charging setup that you would keep in your pocket as it is a little bulky.

I thought this product included the charger for the watches, but it does not. You have to use the one the watch came and install it in the charging pad. Under the phone charging pad is a USB type A connection but it also come with a USB Type A to USB Type C connector. So you can use an older watch charger or a new one. To connect the pad to power you will need a USB Type C plug, this one plug will provide power to both the watch and phone.

I’m happy this will work with other phones as I can now just take this when I travel and not worry about having an iPhone charger and a google pixel charger. Overall this is a solid device and would make a great gift for someone who travels or just would like an all in one charging setup.

  10. Kotor

I am really glad I got this Best Buy Essentials magnetic wireless charger. It works well and is of comparable quality to name brand products. If you need a magnetic charger you can save yourself some money by going with this product.

It features a strong magnet that creates a very solid lock on my iPhone. I am using a case that has a MagSafe magnetic ring built into the case. This is an important detail because if you are using a case it must be magnetic compatible to work. Once attached it takes some force to separate the case from the charger, which I really appreciate.

This charger also works with the Qi wireless charging protocol so it can be used to charge a variety of products.

It is capable of charging an iPhone at the maximum possible of 7.5 watts. This is an Apple limitation and has nothing to do with this charger. Other products can be charged at up to 10 watts.

There is a powered USB port on the interior of the charger that can provide 5 watts of power. If you are going to use this port that way make sure you are using a power adapter that provides at least 20 watts or your wireless charging speed will be slower. The product specifications recommend using a power adapter of at least 20 watts.

I am using this charger in my main work area to alternatively charge my iPhone and earbuds. I have not taken it on a trip yet, but I am looking forward to using it that way because it folds up nicely in a way that should travel well. For short trips it is going to be great to be able to charge a phone and watch with a minimum of cables.

Included in the box is a USB-C to USB-A adapter and a USB-C to USB-C power cord. Not included is a power adapter or an Apple Watch charger. An Apple Watch charger will fit into the case for watch charging.

  11. IndyTechGuy

This unique charger folds flat and has a small strap to keep it closed when not in use. It can charge via a power block (yours) and the included USB-C cable. The unit has a USB-C to USB-A adapter that stores in the base of the unit. The stated charging strengths are 7.5W for an iPhone, 5W for an Apple Watch and up to 10W for other Qi-enabled devices. It charged an iPhone 13 and an iPhone 11 with a mag safe case with no issues, but it would not charge any other Qi-enabled device in my testing. I tried 2 name brand cell phones and a Qi charging enabled tablet and none would charge. But it worked flawlessly for the Apple devices, and has a discreet internal cord management system when not in use. When folded it’s a little over 3.1 inches by 3.5 inches square and about 1.5 inches high, so it will easily fit in the side pocket of any computer bag. The body of the unit is a combination of plastic and silicone. The watch charging ring folds flat for storage, or will fold up to hold the watch for charging and visibility at night.

The Best Buy Essentials 2-in-1 Magnetic Wireless Charging pad is a must-have for anyone who travels – or just anyone who needs power on the go. This device is fantastic both in form and function.

The device can charge an Qi enable phone – in my case, I use it to charge an Apple iPhone 15 Pro Max along with an Apple Watch. I was also able to careful position my AirPods Pro on the side of the charging pad for the phone and it charged the AirPods perfectly, too.

The unique part of this product is the portability it offers. When folded up, it’s just slightly larger than an average bifold wallet and slides in to a pocket or a bag easily. The charging pad comes with a USB-C wire along with a USB-A adapter. I used it with USB-C plugged in to a 10W USB power source. Between the ease of folding it up (including the wire) and the size – this is definitely a must have for people on the go. This past holiday, I used this charging pad to keep all my devices charged while taking up very little room. I would highly recommend.

  13. TechBuyer

This 2-in-1 watch charger works great, my wife claimed it instantly and said she was taking it to work because as a nurse, she sometimes needs to charge her phone and especially her watch during her long 12+ hour shifts.

Note: This accessory does NOT come with the watch charging puck, just the insert for it. You need to use your own puck and also an AC Adapter or laptop that can handle 2x USB cables. The package and picture don’t show the puck included but I guess it could be more clear so there is no confusion. The price point should be an indicator however that it doesn’t have the watch charging puck. It does have a built-in MagSafe charger, so fro that and the price alone this is worth it imo.

The quality is a solid feeling silicone material that is rugged and should stand up over time. The two halves of the charger can fold on top of each other to be more compact and there’s a little latch that holds it folded. For the watch puck side, there’s a groove that lets you wind up the watch and included USB-C cable like a hose on a hose holder.

Overall a very good accessory for those that travel a lot or want a charger at a remote location like work consistently.

  14. MrPHD

I received this 1 day too late, I had ordered this for 2 trips, didn’t get it in time for first trip, but at least I’ll have it for my longer trip. Why is it important? Because it’s 1 cable and 1 power brick!

On my first trip, I had to plug in both the cable for my watch charger into a USB-C power brick, then I had to plug in a lightning cable in a USB-A power brick, to charge my Iphone. It’s very annoying to have to bring 2 power bricks with you, it’s just extra things you can lose!

You only need 1 USB-C power for the 2 in 1 Magnetic Charging Travel Kit. You plug in the phone charger inside the device itself (with room to wrap the cord around it) and then you use the USB-C cord included with the travel kit – to plug into a USB-C power brick. Just 1 brick! Both watch and iphone will charge at the same time when it’s folded out, and then you can simply fold it in and place it in your travel bag. Super convenient.

    Pros:
Cheap! only requires 1 power brick
very small and can fit easily in your pocket or luggage
Can prop watch at an angle so you can see the display
Has space to wrap watch cord around

    Cons:
    Feels a bit cheap
The phone magnet heats up pretty quickly – in comparison to my current stand

  15. RogueWave

The Best Buy essentials 2-in-1 10W Magnetic Wireless Charger Travel Kit with Apple Watch Charger Holder is an impressive accessory for Apple device users. This charger kit is specifically designed to cater to the needs of those who frequently travel or need to charge multiple devices simultaneously.

One of the kit’s most notable features is its magnetic wireless charging capability. This allows for easy and secure attachment of an iPhone, ensuring efficient charging without the hassle of wires. The charger also supports a fast charging speed of 10W, which is quite effective for quickly powering up devices. With the USB-A to USB-C adapter underneath, it can accommodate both types of Apple Watch cables, old and new USB-A or USB-C.

The inclusion of an Apple Watch charger holder is a thoughtful addition. It accommodates the Apple Watch perfectly, allowing for a seamless charging experience. This feature is particularly beneficial for those who own multiple Apple devices, including the Apple Watch and AirPods. To charge the Apple watch, you will need to have the original watch charger that came with the watch, the charger clicks into place and becomes part of the holder, otherwise, it’s just a plastic ring that flips up. The Apple Watch charger wraps around the body of the charger and hides under the silicone cover, plug it into the USB adapter underneath, then plug the charging cable it came with into a wall brick and both the phone and watch will charge at the same time.

Portability is a key aspect of this charger kit. Its compact design makes it an ideal travel companion, easily fitting into bags or luggage without taking up much space. This makes it a great option for business travelers or vacationers who need to keep their devices charged on the go. It’s made of plastic and silicone, so it won’t set off any alarms through airport security. I love how the wires wrap around the body and are covered by the silicone cover, keeps it neat and tidy, hidden away and secure.

In terms of build quality and design, the charger feels durable and well-made. The aesthetics are sleek and modern, fitting well with Apple’s design ethos.

Overall, the Best Buy essentials 2-in-1 10W Magnetic Wireless Charger Travel Kit with Apple Watch Charger Holder is a versatile and efficient charging solution. It’s especially suitable for Apple users looking for a convenient way to charge their devices, whether at home or while traveling. The combination of fast charging, portability, and compatibility with multiple devices makes it a valuable accessory for any Apple device owner.

For years now I have been packing up a ton of different chargers, and it is always super annoying trying to detangle all of those wires when I get to my destination, and then again when I get home. I have finally found relief from this annoying process with the Best Buy Essentials 2 in 1 Wireless Charger! It keeps my Apple Watch Ultra charger nicely contained inside the frame, and then has only one wire going to the wall plug. I use the wireless charging side with zero issues to charge my iPhone 15 Pro Max, as well as my AirPods Pro 2! The small form factor of this device makes it the perfect choice for short or long trips, and I even use it at home on my nightstand so I never have to remove my Apple Watch Ultra charger from it, and then I even have an extra wireless charger right there if I ever need it! I charge my AirPods Pro on it constantly as it is extremely easy and charges them quite quickly! If you travel, or if you just want some more organization in your daily charging routines this thing is awesome!

  17. fudgear

The portable charging pad is compact and convenient and it provides two capabilities in just one device: wirelessly charge both your mobile phone and Apple watch. You need to make use of your own phone power adapter and Apple watch cable to connect with the pad, though the pad comes with a USB-C cable to connect to the pad. So, in a nutshell, the pad comes with a charging cable but not the power adapter itself, and the pad does not come with an Apple watch cable so in order for the watch to be charged you need to have your Apple watch cable connected to the pad.

Another thing to note is that the charging pad is only rated at 10W, which is good for overnight charging but not good for people who wants to charge their phone rapidly. Also, if you intend to charge the phone and the watch at the same time, just be sure to use fast charger. I use a 60w GAN charger and the wireless charging pad maintains the maximum charging speed (well these days 10W is not really fast) while the Apple watch is being simultaneously charged.

Also, the wireless charging pad works for both iPhone and Android devices, as long as they support wireless charging capabilities.

The point I like the most about this wireless charging pad is how compact it is. You can fold the pad and carry it with you for the convenience of having a 2-in-one charging whenever you go. Just be sure to pack a phone power adapter with you.

  18. Patrick

Okay, so I was thinking this was a “completed” Best Buy Essentials Magnetic Wireless Charger Travel Kit with Apple Watch Charger, you know, ready to use out of the box. But it isn’t, at least as far as the Apple Watch goes.

I really like the concept of an Apple watch/iPhone travel charger. It’s a bit of a nuisance to remember to drag all the cables along with you whenever you are going to be away from home for any length of time. And then of course to remember to make sure you unplug and repack them from the hotel power before checking out. So, like I said, this sounded like a great product.

The biggest issue I see with it is that the charging device does not come ready to charge an Apple watch in that the watch charger does not include the charging puck…just the charging puck holder. And if you are like I am sometimes, you will grab an item thinking you have everything you need just to get home and find out that you need something else and have to make another trip back to the store. Yes, after reading the box it does say “Magnetic Wireless Charger Travel Kit with Apple Watch Charger HOLDER,” but still, I think it would be a lot better to maybe raise the price a few bucks and include everything you need to use it out of the box.

So other than that, is this a good travel charging kit? I have to say yes, it is. I like the overall design, its compact nature, and its ability to be easily and conveniently stored in the smallest of nooks and crannies you will find in your travel gear. The silicone clasp used to keep the unit closed is a bit tricky to slide on, but once it is secured, it holds the unit closed. The magnetic charger clicks firmly into place on my iPhone, so there is no guessing about whether it is connected or not. The one thing I noticed (that the literature stated) was that I never saw the LED light come on for three seconds. I tried this several times, and nothing ever happened. Not a big deal, but I guess we get programmed to believe we need to see some sort of light to confirm a device is connected. A quick glance at my iPhone screen indicated that it was, indeed, charging. Now, winding the cord…for me it was a bit more frustrating than it probably should have been, but I had to wind and rewind several times before I just settled for the best I was going to get. I would think it needs to be “hidden” while traveling, but I simply was unable to get it wound so that the end of the cable was stowed away inside the case.

Bottom Line: YES, I do recommend the Best Buy Essentials Magnetic Wireless Charger Travel Kit with Apple Watch Charger to anyone looking for a good, all-around travel charger. It performs almost flawlessly, it’s relatively inexpensive, appears moderately durable, and is easily stowable. I know I made a big deal out of the watch charger, but I have to admit that nowhere does Best Buy evenly remotely infer that the kit comes with the watch puck charger, so that is my fault. I still think it should, however.

  19. GEJF

The 2-in-1 magnetic charging travel kit has proven to be incredibly practical in my day to day life. I have always been annoyed with how many wires I have charging all my devices and this product helps clean up my space because I can charge both my Apple Watch and iPhone at the same time!
It’s incredibly light weight and folds very easily so I have already been able to take it on trips to charge my devices. My other family member owns an android watch that also uses a similar charger as the Apple Watch, and that one fits in this magnetic charging travel kit perfectly!
It charges iPhones 12, 13, and 14 with up to 7.5W. The packaging includes the 2-in-1 magnetic wireless charger, USB-C to USB-C cable, USB male to USB-C female adapter, and the quick setup guide. The Apple Watch charging cable is suppose to connect to the adapter by wrapping around the cable holder, and it does so perfectly without any extra part of the cable showing from the sides which can be inconvenient at times so it’s safe to say this a well thought out design for people who travel.
I have already switched out my old chargers and wires for this more practical one and it has become a necessity when traveling!

  20. Wishkid

This travel kit is actually a good idea. The fact that you can charge your phone and smartwatch at the same time in a small and convenient package is great. However, the execution was done kind of poorly. First start with the built quality. The construction feels a bit cheap and when you clamp it together using the clasp tab it is very flimsy. It also feels bulky when clamped together meaning this was meant to be carried in a bag not in the pockets. It doesn’t include the watch charger so you have to use your own. The charger cord has to be wind around the kit through a groove and then plugged into the USB connector making it a little bit inconvenient. It does come with a USB-C to USB-A cable but not the wall charging brick. If you are in a place that doesn’t have USB outlets, which most hotels do, then you’re out of luck. Also you cannot charge the watch using reverse wireless charging with the wireless charging pad. This travel kit has to be powered by an actual electrical source or power bank .

This device does work as it was intended and it comes with all the necessary tools. To charge your devices you have to connect the travel kit to a power source whether it is a USB socket or charging brick. You will know the devices are being charged when the white light charging indicator turns on. This travel kit is magsafe compatible and the watch holder is made for Apple watch chargers. If you have a magsafe case for an android it will work too. It has a very strong magnet so your phone will not go anywhere. The wireless charging capabilities are for any phone or device that supports wireless charging. The Apple watch charger does fit perfectly in the base and is very well secured. When both pads are laying flat on the surface it is actually a convenient way to charge both devices. It supports up to 10 watts wireless charging for Qi devices, 7.5W for Iphones and 5W for the watch. I used it with iphones, android and some earbuds and it worked flawlessly.

This could have been perfect if it had a more premium design aesthetic and the watch charger was built in. Overall this kit does what it was intended for and it included the necessary tools except that watch charger. In the box you get the wireless travel kit, manuals, USB-C to USB-A cable and an adapter.

  21. Rcroker

The Best Buy Essential 2in 1 10-watt magnetic wireless charger for iPhone and Apple Watch exceeded my expectations, providing a seamless and efficient charging experience. The 10W output ensures fast and reliable charging for the I- phone, while all that needs to be done is to insert your watch charger into the case and it will charge as well. saving valuable time. The magnetic design ensures a secure connection, eliminating the hassle of aligning devices precisely.
Its compact and sleek build complements any space, making it a great little addition to the nightstand.

The great thing about the charger is that it combines both the Apple Watch Charger with the phone charger so it’s all in one spot.

The downside is, you do have to have a separate cable for the Apple Watch to charge. So in essence it’s not a real space saver but it does look nicer. The overall charger is convenient and compact but as stated before you still have to use two cables to charge your phone and watch at the same time.

Summary: The Best Buy essentials™ – 2-in-1 10W Magnetic Wireless Charger Travel Kit
gets the job done, has strong magnetic connections, but requires your own watch charger cable (not included). Constructed from low cost (but light) materials it is not made for daily wear and tear but should serve well for travel. Definitely for the budget minded. Designed for Apple products specifically, but the phone charger is a standard Qi charger so should work with any device.

    Pros:
    – Light weight
    – Strong mag safe connection
    – Easy to store and carry
    – Sits flat with effort

    Cons:
    – Does not come with watch charger cable (the part with the magnet). This is not clearly stated in the marketing and to me that’s a tad disappointing.

    A Matter of Taste:
    – There is no getting around it, the construction is budget minded. Feels flimsy in my hands, you may think otherwise.

More words: While you can use it with non Apple Qi enabled devices, this is made with magsafe for the iPhone, which makes charging placement easy. I am not a fan of the ‘provide your own watch charger cable design’ (have seen it before), for the obvious reason (cost), but also because invariably you have to do something with the excess cable. In this case wind it around a central core that is more or less hidden with rubber and plastic. The end result feels flimsy to me, and the cord still sticks out a bit (I used Apple’s standard USB A cable), but it does work (see picture). It does fold up, but the latch is a rubber flap you catch on a tab, and I worry about how long that will last before breaking.

The most obvious competitor is Apple’s own MagSafe Duo Charger. If one makes that direct comparison, they will be disappointed on quality, materials of construction, size and the phone charger is built in. But, they will be THRILLED on cost (and it’s lighter). This is literally 4 or 5 TIMES cheaper (depending on sales, and the current Duo charger is discontinued by Apple due to the lightening port). That’s assuming you have a watch charger cable. Not so much if you don’t. So that’s why you buy the Magnetic Wireless Charger Kit, you don’t want to pay the Apple ‘tax’ for quality on an item you will rarely use, but you do like the idea of a foldable phone and watch charger combination for travel. Just don’t think you are getting an Apple MagSafe Duo Charger for a fifth the cost.

I can’t give this a full 5 stars, the quality is just not there, and I don’t like you have to add your own watch charger cable. For those two reasons I might give this a three, but will give it a four because of the insane value. I would recommend to a friend with those two caveats.

I purchased this for my wife after owning the similar, but much more expensive Apple travel charger that is no longer available. This charger essentially functions the same, though you do have to add a watch charging cable to the package as there is not one built in. Given that, it works great and is quite affordable.

The Best Buy essentials – 2-in-1 10W Magnetic Wireless Charger Travel Kit is small and lightweight and is perfect for both home and travel use. The phone charger easily connects to our IPhones and no issues charging the Apple Watch as well.

The main issue with the charger is the Apple Watch doesn’t come with its own charging cord and you have to provide your own charger. I can see why this is a major issue for some people, but you’re able to plug the cord into the charger, so it’s only using one outlet to charge both the phone and the watch.

The phone part of the charger also works well if you need to charge your airpods. While 10W may not be faster enough for some people, for a travel charger, this is ok a for temporary charger while travelling.

Using as an travel charger, it folds in half and doesn’t take up alot of space. It’s flexible and yet sturdy enough.

Had it for a week so far and I can’t find anything to really nitpick other than the watch doesn’t come with its own charger. I would recommend it.

Like my title says, the concept sounds great, and I think they can get this to that. However, at this time poorly executed.

First, they do not provide a wall adaptor, and for now, that would have been nice to have. Most of my wall adaptors are for USB-A.

The side that charges your watch, you still need your watch charging cord, and need to wrap your watch cord tight or it won’t fit to plug into USB-A port. I had to do this a couple times.

Lastly, on battery backup pack built in.

A couple pros for this though. At least they have a way to plug your watch cord into the device itself so you just have to run the 1 cord.

It folds up and does not take a whole lot of room and has room so you can wrap the cord for power around your watch cord. (I would have like to see this on the phone side instead).

helps with cable management and keeps your phone and watch close to each other when charging.

What I would have liked to see with this in the future, have it so that you do not need your own apple watch cord. Have a built-in battery pack that could charge devices. Provide a wall charger and it would be nice to see a pop socket magsafe that could charge without having to remove that. I have a pop socket magsafe attachment that I have to remove to use.

For me, 3 stars with those things I listed. It just makes this not really worth it for me to use. I have to take off my magsafe pop socket attachment every time I want to charge my phone. It is easier and more convenient for me to just plug the cord directly into my phone. Same with my watch.

Overall, like I mentioned, I feel this could easily be a 4-5 star item if they make some adjustments.

Works great small and compact easy to travel with.

This travel charger exceeded my expectations when judged against the price. The mag-safe phone charger works well and recharges my iPhone 13 in a shorter time than expected. It centers the phone nicely to make sure charging works every time even if you place it a bit off-center initially. Remember that it does NOT include the Apple Watch charger puck. You should use the one that comes with the watch or buy another one to put in this travel charger. It is designed for the original Apple Watch puck and aftermarket ones may or may not fit. The watch holder could be improved a bit by allowing the tilt to go past 90 degrees. My Ultra 2 with a silicone band is OK, but when I install a metal band, the weight of the band makes constant contact with the watch a bit of an issue. I can prop up something to carry the weight of the metal band, but if this puck holder was designed to go a bit past 90 degrees, it would solve issues with a metal band. I experimented a bit with how far in to push the Apple Watch puck in the holder and found if I do not push it all the way flush, it works well. A slight design change will make this travel charger a no-brainer. I like the type C connector for the charger and they even include a short cord to connect the travel charger to your wall wart. I use a 30 amp wall wart, but you could likely use a 20 watt one too. One additional nitpick is when you fold it up in the closed position, the silicone tab is hard to engage to keep it closed. If the stud was hard plastic, it would be much easier to latch.
Having a phone charger built-in and including the cord from the charger to the wall wart makes this a compelling choice and impossible to beat for the money.

The 2-in-1 Magnetic charging travel kit, is a very convenient and portable charger for both the apple watch and iPhone.

The travel charger comes with a USB-C to USB-B adapter for older apple watch chargers that don’t have USB-C ends, as well as older iPhone cables that don’t have the USB-C ends – making them usable with this charger. There is also a USB-C cable that plugs one end into the charger, and the other goes into the power supply. Lastly, there is the actual charger. The charger is nicely designed, it’s made up of a sturdy rubber coated plastic, with a rubber elastic that acts as a hinge so you can fold the charger in half, as well as one on the front to secure it closed. The charger does not come with the Apple watch charger, or a power supply, so you will need to have one or purchase one separately.

As far as portability, the 2 – in – 1 charger is fantastic. Its easy to carry around due to the way everything collapses and folds in half. There are 2 squares, one square has the wireless charger built in, and the other is for the apple watch. The square that holds the watch charger has a stand that pops out where the watch rests to charge, there is also an opening to wrap the entire charging cord around to make it as cord free as possible. The wireless charger allows you to charge more than just the iPhone, you can charge most wireless charging devices up to 10w. I love how I am able to not only charge my iPhone, but also my airpod pros too. The charger also works great, it charges my iPhone fast and best of all its wireless.

Overall, I love the 2 – in – 1 Wireless charger from Best Buy! It’s fast, portable, and extremely convenient. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a portable charger.

  29. Davenesf

Works well as a fast charger and is compact for travel. My only nitpick is that the Watch holder (uses the original Apple puck) only goes to 90 degrees when deployed and it needs to go a bit further if you have a metal band on the Apple Watch. The band weight pulls it down making a good magnetic connection hard to obtain. My cloth and silicone bands are no problem. The phone charger is limited to 10 watts, but that is quick enough for travel when it will be left more than a couple of hours to charge the watch.

Great easy to set up need to buy a apple watch charger

I purchased this as a stocking stuffer for my son to to use at work to easily charge his devices.

THIS… Is BestBuy Essentials two in one Iphone and Apple Watch charger – NOTE – you will still need your own apple watch charger independently of this, but it WILL plug into this hub and uses a really ingenious method to wrap it nicely up in the hub. This is actually one of my favorite new gadgets to reduce my cable nesting in my bag. Between my watch, laptop, phone and whatever my wife brings, we always end up with a nest of cables in MY bag lol. Using only one cable all wrapped up in this small hub, I can now easily all of my electronics off of one type c cable. I really enjoy how simple it is, while it isn’t super cool looking, it is everything it needs to be and easy to spot in your bag. The only odd thing about the product, is that there is a dongle going from type a to usb c, as there isn’t a direct type c plug in to the device but rather just usb a. I added a photo of it, I guess it’s a nice random dongle to have? I don’t have a phone/watch stand at home, so I just use this as it is just so nifty and universal. Your iPhone is going to be limited to 7.5w wireless charging which is slower than charging off of the wall, however, other devices that are capable can charge up to 10w wireless. What is super nice about this product is that it is actually super affordable while also being from BestBuy, as always, BestBuy has an excellent return policy and even better customer service, so you never have to worry about buying a product that you don’t like… so why not test it out?!

  33. absantos

I didn’t like the quality. I thought the charger came with it, but it didn’t. I do not recommend

  34. jess83

I personally am sad that this didn’t work for me. My Apple Watch charger isn’t compatible. The point was to save money & I’ll have to buy another charger to make it work. So unfortunately I’ll be returning it. It works should definitely work with a newer watch model. Mine is a 6.

  35. VanG

I recently purchased this item as a gift for Christmas.

  36. pocoyoy21

No charger included. Just a holder for the wires..

  37. WilCrai6

Portable and strong charger. This works really well, I’ve had other 2 in 1 chargers that charge slow. This one is charges quickly. I like how you only need one cable to charge both devices, the watch charger plugs internally and is hidden.

  38. NickR

I got this as a gift for my sister-in-law. She loved it and said it worked great.

  39. Manuel

The fact that if you already have extra watch chargers laying around and take this with you while traveling is convenient. Also is half the price if not more than other name brands and still gives tou good charge speeds for the price.

  40. Franknhc

This item is perfect for travel. It is very lightweight and folds up small to fit in a carry on when traveling. The charger worked well in charging my iPhone as well as my apple watch. I recommend this item!

  41. chromecastmovie

small lightweight easy to pack. great travel accessory

  42. AntwoineH

Good device. I got it for my daughter birthday and she loves it

  43. MagnetVox

The charger works well. You will need to use your own Apple Watch charger., and it did not come with a wall charger. The watch cable wraps around the base of the watch charger section and then plugs into the phone charger section. As a result, You will only have one cord to plug into the wall charger. It is a bit thicker than the Apple MagSafe Dual charger. Price was right.

  44. Nosaj86

Great purchase for the money, especially if you travel.

  45. Momofboys

Love this, so convenient and keeps things together

  46. Davalos

Snaps right into the charger and works as it should!

  47. DJJB

Excellent for the price! Why pay $120 for the apple version while you can get this nifty substitute from BestBuy for about $20!

  48. Freddy

Great little product if you own apple products. Works as advertised.

  49. NaomiS

    Compact and works surprising well!!
I was skeptic to buy it, but it’s small enough to even fit in your jacket pocket! Good gift buy!!
